Minimally Invasive Procedures

Women's Health

  • Mammography and Biopsy (Mammographic & Ultrasound guided)
  • Pre-operative needle localization of breast masses
  • Pelvic Congestion Syndrome - evaluation and embolization for chronic pelvic pain
  • Uterine fibroid libolization - minimally invasive alternative to traditional hysterectomy

Fertility

  • Hysterosalpingogram for diagnosis of causes of female infertility
  • Fallopian tube recanalization - to open blocked fallopian tubes
  • Varicocele embolization - minimally invasive treatment for male varicocele (a leading cause of male infertility)

Oncology

  • Radiofrequency and Microwave tumor ablation (lung, liver, kidney, bone)
  • Cryoablation (bone & kidney tumors and breast masses, such as fibroadenoma)
  • Embolization of renal tumors (renal cell carcinoma) and angiomyolipoma
  • Ablation for Osteoid Osteoma
  • Chemoembolization of primary liver tumors (hepatocellular carcinoma) or metastatic liver tumors (colon, neuroendocrine tumor, cholangiocarcinoma, etc)
  • Central venous access (Power injectable Ports, PICCs, Hickman)
  • Image guided biopsy/aspiration
  • Splenectomy for ITP/TTP
  • Placement of feeding tubes (gastrostomy and gastrojejunostomy)
  • Pain control with celiac plexus blocks (pancreatic cancer, etc)
  • Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty for pain control for compression fractures (can be combined with biopsy)
  • Fiducial placement for CyberKnife Radiosurgery
  • Pleural and Peritoneal drainage catheters for long term drainage of ascites and effusions - avoid repeat taps

Interventional Podiatry

  • We offer pre-procedural vascular clearance with outpatient angiography to assess disease within blood vessels.
  • Outpatient angiography for diagnosis of arterial insufficiency and venous insufficiency
  • Endovascular treatments of peripheral artery disease (particularly tibial disease) prior to foot or ankle surgery or for wound healing
  • Treatment of neuropathy including nerve blocks and nerve stimulators

Pain management

  • Evaluation includes examination of spine under fluorscopy to pinpoint areas of pain
  • Presurgical evaluation to evaluate disc disease (discogram) or spinal stenosis (myelogram) with CT
  • Compression fracture treatment including kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty
  • Spinal cord stimulators for chronic back pain, failed back surgery, neuropathy pain
  • Facet and epidural injections
  • Nerve blocks (celiac, etc)
  • Hip injections/Bursa injections
  • Facet injections (median branch blocks) and Median nerve denervation (neurolysis)

Pain

  • Chronic migraine - Botox injections
  • Chronic pelvic pain - pelvic congestion syndrome evaluation and treatment
  • Chronic back pain - spinal neurostimulator trials and placement, Baclofen and pain pump placement
  • Chronic leg pain - Evaluation and treatment of arterial and venous disease
  • Tendonitis/Muscle tears - Purified plasma injections for tendonitis

Venous disease

  • Thrombolysis (clot dissolution) and Thrombectomy (clot removal) for acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
  • Pulmonary thrombectomy (clot removal) for pulmonary embolus (PE)
  • Endovenous stenting of chronic venous occlusions
  • Varicose veins - venous stasis/insufficiency/reflux treatment via laser or radiofrequency ablation
  • Sclerotherapy for varicose veins
  • Microphlebectomy for varicose veins

Dialysis access

  • Maintenance and followup for arteriovenous fistulas and graft

Pediatric Interventions

  • Lymphangioma treatment with sclerotherapy
  • Arteriovenous (AV) Malformation treatment
  • Venous malformation treatment with sclerotherapy
  • Gastrostomy tubes
  • Port-A-Cath/Mediport placement

Arterial disease

  • Management and minimally invasive treatment of AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysms) using endovascular approach
  • Hypertension - renal artery evaluation for possible stenting
  • Evaluation and treatment of arterial disease contributing to nonhealing foot ulcers

Other interventions

  • Creation of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) for recurrent ascites and gastrointestinal bleeding

  • Treatment of bleeding varices with BRTO (balloon-occluded retrograde transvenous obliteration)

  • Treatment of pulmonary artery arterio-venous malformations (AVM) with embolization
